In 2018, the Alzheimer's Association identified Alzheimer's disease as a "silent epidemic" and emerging health crisis among aging African Americans.
As a result, it has now become crucial to address the impact of the disease on the health and well-being of the African American family, community and caregiver.
Therefore in recognition of “World Alzheimer’s Day” on September 21, 2019, the Grand Park Foundation is launching its inaugural signature fundraising event, “All Skate for Alzheimer’s.”
The overall goal of this extraordinary 3 day event is to better educate Los Angeles’ African American community on Alzheimer’s disease and the importance of brain wellness and caregiver support.
